The dualistic nature of a heartbroken soul
This is what makes heartbreak hurt twicefold. Not only you have to deal with separation and an alternation of status quo, but also with having to live with these two natures, two viewpoints, two voices that are inherently incompatible and each other’s opposition. The rational nature, cold, detached, and crueliciously harsh, assigns the subject such labels as “pedophile”, “manipulator”, “human trafficker”. The emotional nature, soft, fluffy, optimistic and naive, calls her beloved “soulhusband”, “the one who really understands me”, “lover”. The rational nature focuses solely on the risks and chases the most negative interpretation, the emotional nature clings to the best-sounding situation with limited context. And both of these natures live inside you. Depending on your situation, you may be required to shut one out fully in order to survive the agonizing pain of separation penetrating your heart. So is it still overcorrection, or is it a way to cope with losing access to something forever?
